PDS Updates

This information replaces the heading "We pay a commission to organisations that refer this product to you" and the information set out under that heading on page 7 of Zurich Ezicover Income Protection Insurance PDS dated 6 October 2023:

We pay remuneration to organisations that refer you to Zurich.

This may be in the form of a commission, calculated as a percentage of premiums , a fee for referral activities, or both. These amounts are not an additional amount you have to pay.

Details of these amounts are set out in the referring organisation's Financial Services Guide (FSG) where available, on the Zurich website where you apply for this product online or explained to you over the phone (if you apply over the phone).

No payment is made to Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) service providers specifically for referring you to Zurich. When you pay your premiums through BNPL, we pay the BNPL service provider a fee.

What is the change?

We are updating our PDs to reflect our Pledge to “Respect and Protect” against financial abuse.  Updating our terms and conditions is an important step in demonstrating our commitment to supporting victims of family and domestic violence and demonstrating that financial abuse through the use of our products and services is unacceptable.
 

This following information is included immediately following the section titled “We follow the Life Insurance Code of Practice” on page 43 of the Ezicover Income Protection insurance policy effective 11 July 2025:

Respect and Protect and Conduct of Others

Zurich policy holders and customers must not use the products or services we offer, to perpetrate financial abuse or engage in conduct that is illegal or harmful towards any person.  
Laws to which our product terms are subject to may apply in such situations. We may report details of a person’s dealing in our products to a law enforcement body conducting enforcement related activities.

Zurich is committed to supporting customers who are impacted by the conduct of others. Information on the support that is available is on our Supporting customers experiencing vulnerability website: www.zurich.com.au/contact/supporting-customers-experiencing-vulnerability
